Section 8. EXECUTIVE BOARD. It shall be the duty of the Executive Board to carry out all orders and all polices decided at the meetings of the Union members. Also to conduct any other business with management of the USPS which pertains to the Union. The Executive Board will authorize any additional expenses that may be incurred up to $500.00 per occurrence.
Section 9. No member shall be paid dual compensation for more than one position (office) held within the Local. Compensation shall be paid to those Officers(s), and/or Stewards who attend six (6) out of ten (10) regular meetings per annum or absences are approved by the Executive Board and excused and counted as "attended."
Section 10. The foregoing Officers shall perform their duties as prescribed by these laws and the parliamentary authority adopted by this Local.
ARTICLE VI - MEETINGS
Section 1. A regular meeting shall be held each month. There will be no meetings held during the months of July and August unless enacted by the President, Executive Board, or as outlined within the provisions of Article VI, Section 2.
Section 2. Special meeting(s) may be called by the President, Executive Board, and/or upon the request of any five members in good standing, two being Officers of this Local.
Section 3. Five (5) members shall constitute a quorum at a regular meeting, provided that at least three (3) of those five (5) members are Officers.
ARTICLE VII
This Local will be on a calendar year reporting period from January 1 through December 31 for all records and reporting to the Internal Revenue Service or the Department of Labor.
ARTICLE VIII
Section 1. A resolution of intent to amend these By-Laws may be adopted at a regular meeting, provided previous notice was given in a posted notice to the membership.
Section 2. Notice of intended final action on amendment of the By-Laws, shall be posted advising membership concerning resolutions presented at the previous meeting.
Section 3. Adoption of amendment(s) of the By-Laws requires a two-thirds vote of members present at a regular meeting.
Section 4. These By-Laws as amended, supersede any and all By-Laws previously adopted by this Local, These By-Laws to become effective 09/09/2007. |
