UPDATE TWO

First I want to welcome Denise back into our family as she has been off getting married and taking a honeymoon. Congratulations from all of us to her.

I have been asked about mailing stuff into and from the Hotel so here is their policy on that;

Packages sent to the Hotel must be addressed to the Holiday Inn Downtown at the Park with the attention of the recipient as well as the Meeting Name.( 200 South Pattee, Missoula, MT 59802) All packages can be claimed at the Front Desk. No packages will be put in the meeting room prior to the event unless they are claimed and noted to the Sales/Banquet Department. Holiday Inn Downtown at the Park assumes no liability for packages shipped but not received. Please remember to schedule package pick-up with your preferred carrier and have call tags and appropriate billing attached to packaging. The Holiday Inn does not send out packages without call tags and does not

Schedule package pick-up. The Holiday Inn is not responsible for any lost or misplaced outgoing packages. Holiday Inn is not liable for any lost or stolen items in meeting rooms or public areas of the hotel.

In addition to that they have a shuttle that holds up to 10 (8 comfortable) that will be available to us. They will take you any place within a 5 mile radius. This includes the airport. Make arrangement at the front desk. When I get there on Monday I will see if they can run to “The Loft” every half hour on Thursday night for our Hospitality. It is an easy walk. I still need a second bar keeper to help serve drinks. If you have a request please ask. We have requests for “ole No 7”, “Skyy Vodka” and brother Santos’s Pepsi. Thus far no one has mentioned wine with one exception, Charles has that. We are not firm on the food yet but Buffalo will be on the menu as promised.

If any of the State or Locals needs any audio visual aids I need to know that. Montana does have a projector. It has been spoken for on Friday (auxiliary) and Saturday (Maintenance). If someone has a need I will speak with the Hotel or try to arrange from other sources.

 All Locals, MAL’s, or individuals attending must register thru their state organization. Please don't register with me I will just have to send it back. Any information on this can be obtained thru your State President. Contact them to find out when your individual cutoffs are.  All of them know what the cutoff is and they will register with the MPWU by that date. Please don't delay getting this information to your State Presidents. We have a bunch of commitments, to the hotel, that will rely on this information getting to me on time. For those States that are ready to send the registration stuff here is my address.

Just a reminder about your Hotel reservations. If you are going to be sharing rooms make sure you or your representative tells the hotel that you need a double. The Hotel does not assign rooms unless you ask them. If you are sharing putting the second name along with yours is best but not necessary. The Hotel does not have any rooms left in our block. If you need a room or are giving up any please contact me as I can help.

Sandy is working on the training schedule and is attempting to touch base with every instructor. As soon as she gives me that information I will share it with all of you. It will hopefully be in next week’s update. We will have a large copier available and each State President will be given an access code. The price per page is $.025. It will be located in our business room

Please come to enjoy Montana. If there is something you need just ask. This is your convention and we are doing all that we can to make it run smooth and be successful. I personally want to thank everyone that has been helping me.
